One thing that Korea is lacking are dogs as pets... but they make up for that with pet cafes! My mom and sister came to visit me for one week in Korea, and one of the things they wanted to do was go to a dog cafe. They also have cat cafes here but my family isnt big on cats. You walk in and go to the front desk, order an expensive drink ($8+) then the drink is you ticket into the cafe. You can stay as long as you want. Most of the dogs just like to curl up in your lap but some will play with you. Having dogs as pets in Korea has only started to become popular in the last 5 years. Even so you only see really small purebred dogs, its rare to see a medium to large sized dog. One of the reasons this is is because the majority of people in Seoul live in apartments. Houses are extremely expensive in Seoul. There are many dog cafes around Seoul and they are a nice fun way to relax for a couple hours. ~<3 |

Incheon is the area located to the west of Seoul. There are several small islands there. Incheon Airport is on one island and chinatown is located on a different island close by. It is about 1 hour on the subway from Seoul. The china town was smaller than San Fran but still really cute. We walked around some, bought traditional Chinese bread dumplings (red bean and sweet potato), and got 자장면for lunch. Afterwards we took a bus to the ocean and relaxed. ~ <3 |
